Biography

Marea Haslett was born in Birmingham, Alabama and grew up in the Atlanta area with many excursions to California. She enjoys the personal development of truth through the process of painting, sculpting and writing. As an art educator of approximately 20 years, she develops and runs a successful art program and assists in all aspects of helping art students find personal success. She also writes curriculum, grants and promotional materials while providing art leadership in her school, district, and state. Recently, she completed an internship with The Art Section, a teaching internship at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and the Emerging Art Writers Mentorship Program through the online periodical Burnaway.org. Her artwork is in several private collections, at the University of North Georgia and in various shows in the Atlanta area. She shares her journey with her husband and their two sons.
